ABOUT THE ARTIST
Elizabeth Jacob is the face behind Yellow Finch Designs’ handcrafted jewelry. She’s a self-described an artsy-crafty, jewelry-loving, coffee drinking, playdating, book reading, yoga running stay at home mom who’s always beading in the basement. She first opened the doors of Yellow Finch Designs in 2005 and has been working hard ever since!
Jacob creates handcrafted jewelry for the modern woman that is unique, contemporary, and affordable. She was born and raised in Canton, Ohio. After graduating high school, she attended Ohio University, and earned a bachelor’s degree in English with minor in Spanish and creative writing. Her passion for art, photography, and jewelry started at a young age, but her passion for reading and writing started even earlier. She is currently a stay at home mom of two amazing sons, Jonas and Joshua, and enjoys being with her husband and children, and their crazy dog Bailey at their home in Canton.
Jacob is especially proud of the fact that Yellow Finch Designs is now eco-friendly. Most of her work is made with vintage beads or findings, and all of her packaging is made from recycled materials.
ARTIST STATEMENT
I love to create unique jewelry for the modern women at a reasonable price! I love to get creative and take old jewelry apart and turn it into something new. I firmly believe in reusing, reducing and recycling!
